Studio Policies

Attendance Policy: Students are expected to be punctual and attend all scheduled lessons unless advance notice is given, or a true emergency occurs. If an absence is anticipated, 24–48 hours’ notice is required. Make-up lessons are offered depending on both teacher and student availability. If a student who is given a makeup lesson is unable to successfully attend their makeup lesson after 3 attempts at rescheduling, the lesson will be considered forfeited and no refunds or credits will be given. Make-up lessons will also be offered in cases of illness or emergency, but after three unsuccessful attempts to reschedule the same lesson, it will be forfeited. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are not guaranteed a make-up due to limited availability. If the teacher must cancel a lesson, a make-up will be offered. After three unsuccessful attempts to reschedule the same lesson due to teacher absence, a one time lesson credit will be deducted from the next month's tuition. All federal holidays will be observed and are factored into the studio calendar. Payment Policies: Monthly membership payments are due by the 1st of each calendar month. For monthly memberships, your monthly tuition is a flat rate based on a yearly total of 48 lessons. This accounts for holidays and occasional studio breaks. Some months will have 5 lessons, some 3 or 4, but the rate stays the same for simplicity and consistency. Pay-per-lesson tuition must be paid before the start of each scheduled lesson. Payments are accepted through the studio portal (if applicable), or electronically via Zelle or Venmo. A student’s late arrival or early dismissal does not reduce the cost of the lesson. After three consecutive no-call/no-show absences, lessons will be paused by the teacher and re-evaluated unless due to extraordinary circumstances (e.g., a family emergency or unexpected financial hardship). If you or your family is experiencing financial difficulty, please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can discuss a solution. If a student wishes to pause or discontinue lessons, written, emailed notice must be given two weeks before the last day of the current calendar month. Otherwise, payment for the following month will still be expected. Studio Policy: For in person lessons, a parent or guardian is required to be in the building at all times. All lessons maintain an open door policy, and parents and/or guardians are welcome to observe lessons at any time.
